There is a new version of the EA9500. Version 2. When I call sales to buy one, they tell me that the warehouse may send Version 1 and they cannot guarantee I will receive Version 2. And if I receive Version 1, that I would have to send it back. This is absurd! Why would a company discuss a new product on their website, but will not guarantee the customer receives it? This is the 4th call I have made to sales and customer service and they all give the same answer. Corporate sales, corporate shipping, and the CEO need to knock some heads together and resolve this problem.

Hi, I'm curious - if I switch off the 2.4GHz band on the WRT3200ACM router and leave on only the 5GHz band; will the router use all 4 antennas for the active band or does it use only some antennas?

Router not working wirelessly
My WRT1900ACS is not connecting wirelessly to any devices. It works when I hardwire the computer to it. Our Modem is fine and there are no updates to be done. Any advice on what the issue might be?

EA8300 and VoIP, Jabber, WebEx issues
Basically I am unable to make voice calls going through this router. If I connect thew client directly to my cable modem, all is well. If I run through the router (wired) the jitter is so high that outbound voice is nonexistent. Putting the client in the DMZ does not help. Any ideas or should I send this router back and get something else? Thanks.

Ethernet PC can't ping or see wireless printers / 2 networks?
Hi, I'm having trouble with my home office setup, I got a dual band Linksys14712.
All set up no prob, except the PCs connected by ethernet cable have a 192.168.1.1XX ip address and the wireless stuff like my wireless printers have a 10.188.21.1XX style ip address, preventing them from communicating.
How to I get the ethernet PCs to have the same root ip address as the wireless?
Please help- I'm not smart enough to figure out how to fix this :-)

Connecting EA7500 Router to Arris TG862 Cable Modem
Has anyone done this? I tried connecting a cable from the outgoing internet port on the modem to the internet port of the router but the light never went solid, it continually blinks. So, I could never connect via browser to set up the router. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, in advance, for your help.

WRT3200ACM Low connection speed when Channel 165 selected
Not sure if this is a known issue but I just got a new phone and had just changed to a new (refurb'd) 3200 and noticed that the connection speed was only about 170mb/s. Started checking a few things and found that the speed test showed that I was getting my normal connection speed of a little over 100mb but the connection speed still showed 170. I changed the channel to channel 161 and its back to normal which for my phone is 866mb. changed it back to ch 165 and speed reduced again. Bug in the firmware? I usually try to use the higher channels that are not DFS channels and get the best results speed wise. firmware is 1.0.6.181063

Linksys WRT1900AC v2 doesn't work with Network Extender
I recently purchased a Linksys WRT1900AC to replace my WRT54GL. I also have a Samsung network extender (SCS-26UC4). Before switching to this new router, the network extender worked fine. After switching to this new router, the extender SYS light just keeps blinking.
Steps I've taken:

The next step is to disable the IPv4/IPv6 firewall protection but I don't want to do that.

Linksys EA9500 Cycle reboot every two minutes
Hello!
I bought router Linksys six months ago. Worked perfectly.
But now it does not work. Cycle reboot every two minutes.
I can not access the web interface.Resetting to factory settings did not give results.
I connected the UART USB-TTL adapter with the cable on the PL2303HX chip.
I saved the log and realized that the firmware does not load.
Then I did the following:
1, Set machines IP to 192.168.1.10/255.255.255.0 with Gateway = 192.168.1.1
2. Run Putty and connect to serial port (115200 8-bits per character, no parity, and 1 stop bit)
3. Ctrl+C to CFE prompt
4. Run TFTP Server and point to 192.168.1.10 to use it as server address.
5. Click Show Dir and select the file the transfer and click “Copy”
When you click the "Copy" button, nothing happens.
What firmware can I upload to this router?

Error upgrading EA6350 v3 router's firmware
When I try and manually upgrade (via the latest downloaded fle) my EA6350 v3 router's firmware, I get the following error message:

The other night I started the process of upgrading the firmware, but (I think) I inadvertently stopped the upgrade process. The router is still working fine, but I noticed the double-blinking light today. And when I tried again to upgrade the firmware, I got the error message shown above. It let me "restore previous" version of the firmware through the web interface, but I still can't upgrade to the latest downloaded file without getting this error. linksys router ea7500 ac1900
Im hoping you can helpi have a linksys router ea7500 ac1900 that ive had for less than 3 months and it keeps disconnecting/unstable on the mobile phones.
I am running the latest firmware on this model, i havent changed any of the default settings since i bought it.
The devices connected via lan have no connection issues, its only wifi.
When on wireless laptop connection, i dont seem to lose as much of the connection but i still notice it more on the phones. (maybe since my wife and i are onthem more often).
Any trouble shooting help would be much appreciated.

I realize LinkSys firmware is based on OpenWRT but has anyone actually overwritten the firmware on EA7300 with either OpenWRT or DD-WRT? If so, could you please give some feedback?
Does updating the firmware voids the warrantly?
Is there significant gain from flashing the firmware with OpenWRT?
Is factory reset an option in case the routers turns into a brick?

EA7500 questions
I think I'm stressing myself out too much lately with the Internet/router and nothing might even be wrong. But anyway, I have the EA7500, and my internet speed plan is from TWC with speed tests giving results of 23.60mbps download, 2.30mbps upload. I've had the EA7500 for a year and two months now. Now my router and modem are on the first floor of a two story house, in the corner near the front of the house. Not the ideal place, since it says usually put it in the center of the house, but not possible since the modem is connected in that room and don't want to run a long Ethernet cable through the house. Now the signal range/strength is great throughout most of the house, but it's the two upstairs bedrooms farthest in the house away from the router where signal is sketchy. I mean, no one really uses internet in those rooms, but in the farthest room it'll show three out of four bars on a Samsung tablet, but the speeds will be very slow at times. Is this normal? I mean, there's a floor and walls in between, not to mention about 4-5 other wifi SSIDs appear so maybe there's interference? But I noticed that if someone was watching a video in that room farthest from the router, it'd affect my speeds too, causing my speed when I'm in the same room as the router to dip. Is this also normal? And does being father from the router also maybe make it so you will lag or lose connection in video games? Like my brother was playing an online mobile game on his tablet in there a week ago and lost connection duri a match but rejoined and didn't get any lag in 2 other matches he played. I thought this router had beamforming or whatever where it would give devices great strength and whatnot. Maybe I'm overreacting and these problems are just somewhat normal? I feel like there's something wrong with my router and now I'm looking at getting the EA9300 for better coverage in my house. Would it cover the house better in the same location the EA7500 is in right now? Or am I overreacting and there's nothing wrong with my EA7500?
