I just bought the Linksys E5600 AC1200 WiFi Router. After setting up the router I noticed the WAN connection in any mode does not allow setting up a custom DNS address. This is really an important feature missing since one can only use ISP assigned DNS. Also if possible DoT / DoH implementation would be great but tbh custom DNS should be a high priority and possibly only feature easily found on almost any other router.
Linksys E5600 Feature Request WAN DNS
LRT214 VLAN FORWARDING HTTP
I configured my LRT214 with three(3) VLAN (20,30 and 40)
On VLAN 20, the Web Server and service computers are connected
I use FORWARDING option for HTTP(80) in order to acces WebServer on VLAN20.
Then, for computers in VLAN30 and VLAN40 (or from internet customer) when using an internet browser an type the URL of the web site located on VLAN 20, it work perfectly!!
Therefore, using a computer into VLAN20 doesn't work when using an internet browser an type the URL of the web site.
If look like if the FORWARDING ignore request outcoming from VLAN20
Any Idea??
AX6000 not showing network printer, and IP reservations seem to be broken
I have a network printer (Canon MF210) hard-wired to my local network, managed by my AX6000.
The printer is working fine and I am able to print on it from any of the several computers on the network.
The network map shows 4 hard-wired devices and 3 wifi-connected devices, as expected (other than the missing printer).
It does NOT show the network printer.
The printer itself says that its IPv4 address is 192.168.0.124, as expected. On one of the hardwired computers, a Window 10 Pro system, the printer port "Properties" says that the printer is connected to port "192.168.0.124_1", a "Standard TCP/IP Port". I note that the other devices on the network each have the form 192.168.1.NNN, while the printer has 192.168.0.124. This may be detritus from an earlier router.
Since the printer complains when its IP address is changed, I would like to reserve it (on the "IP & MAC Binding" page). I'm unable to do that since that page apparently only allows connected devices to be reserved.
That page also refuses to allow me to make any changes to anything. If I attempt to add a value for "Description", I get a complaint that says "This address is reserved for another device. Please enter a new one."
It appears that the only way to reserve a devise to click the chain icon in the "ARP List". This causes an entry to be added to the "Binding List" and changes the "Bound" value in the "ARP LIst" from "unbound" to "bound". The entries cannot otherwise be changed.
Why doesn't this way-cool router show my network printer?
Why can't I make an IP address reservation for it?
WRT3200ACM cannot be accessed throu usb or ethernet cable, only wireless lights flash constantly,
Hi there Linksys community. I've been searching how to fix my lynksis WRT3200ACM router as I had replaced the firmware from it to DDR WT. This problem occured as I no longer used the router for a while, sometime passed and I wanted to use my vpn on the router so I decided to use my router as as my main connection with the vpn on it for my devises. As the tittle says I cannot flash the firmware in any way. As I connecte the router I couldn't access it.
Things I tried was to reset it via the little buttom that restets the firmware, however that did not work.
I also tried to access the router via the 192.168.1.1 ip adress yet my computer simply did not recognize that adress.
I double cheked this via cmd > ipconfig yet the ethernet simply did not appear to be connected thus it didn't give me any way to connect to my router via the ip adress of whatever DDR wt firmware ip adress would have had on it.
I also connected the router via USB to see if I could acess it or flash the firmware by having the USB port of my router connected to my computer but there is little information on how you go about doing this, thus I reached this community to see if I could get some help.

The picture above is the router connected to the usb but I cannot access it as there is no sofware to do so.

No other lights than the the ether ports flash
If someone could help me I'd appreciate it.

linksys mr9000 channels
The router puts me on channel 7 which is the worst one says wifi analyser. I need to change the channel but cannot in the web based settings or the app. It does not have the channel dropdown at all. How do I change the Channel?
Wireless Portion of Router Stopped Working
I have an EA9300. The power in my unit went out and came back on. The router was rebooted but for some reason the wireless part is not working. I can plug my laptop into the router and can get out on the internt. However, if I try wirelessly I can't connect.
Sometimes it will pop up as poor connection then disappear. I tried turning off the wireless part and then turn it back on, but same problem. If I do manage to connect it stays briefly then drops.
Am I missing something?
Unable to access cable modem web interface through router
My setup: Cable Internet -> Arris SB6141 -> Linksys MR9000 router -> PC
I should be able to access the web interface for my cable modem at IP 192.168.100.1 but I am unable to do this with the above setup. If I remove the router and connect my PC directly to the modem I can access the web interface.
My router setup:
IP 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
DHCP range 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.209
I am having issues with my cable internet service and need to be able to access the modem web interface to troubleshoot.
Xfinity XB7 and Linksys 7500
Hello,
I currently have the Xfinity XB7 set up as a gateway. I am looking to hook up my Linksys EA7500 router to my XB7. What is the best way to hook up my Linksys router? LAN to LAN or LAN to WAN? What is the difference? What is the most logical way to do this? I would like to have all my devices see eachother when connected.
Thank you
Linksys WRT 3200acm and Nighthawk Routers
I have a Linksys WRT as my primary router connected to the internet and I was trying to create a VLAN to connect the NightHawk Router that would allow Internet only access on the Nighthawl with no ability to see the LAN on the Linksys.
I have not been able to get this to work.
Any suggestions?
MR9000 & AC only mode for 5GHz
In the settings I can see for our MR9000, wifi only allows for MIXED Mode on the 5GHz band.
I must be able to access more specific settings or this thing is being returned. I want to set it to AC only with AES cipher.
Where/How do I do this?? So far, am not a fan at all of my purchase !!!
Trouble accessing my new Linksys 3200ACM router configuratio from a WAN IP
Hi guys!
This one baffles me. I got this router one week ago. I have the factory (updated to the latest version) firmeware running currently with the idea that I would install DD-WRT on it. I actually installed DD-WRT just to play with it for a little bit but settled, for the time being, on using the factory firware.
The rounter is succesfully connected to my Gigabyte PPoE/Vlan connection. Everything works both WAN and LAN.
I can connect to the router's configuration using http://192.168.1.1/ and https://192.168.1.1/. No issues. I CAN ALSO access it using the WAN IP but ONLY when I'm on the local wireless/wired network here ( Linksys 3200 ACM router's wirelss network or directly connected via an ethernet cable to the router). The second I switch to a different network (my iPhone's ATT's wireless hotspot), I cannot access it anymore. I have no idea how to set this up! I'm running pretty much all the factory defauts (didn't change anything) and in the "Adminstration" section, I have everyting checked but the SIP option. I don't see any other admistration settings (ports, LAN vs WAN, etc) that would allow me to connect to the router or restrict it. Everyhting looks pretty straighforward.
I gather this router is pretty popular. I hope someone here who has the same router (same firmware) can shed some light on this.
Thank you anticipadely!
New MR7350 Ativ 9 Plus w/ Intel N 7260 Can't see network
I just upgraded to a MR7350 and it went smooth for all devices except Samsung Ativ 9 Plus laptop. It has an Intel Dual Band-N 7260 adpater.
I checked with Samsung for the latest driver - installed
Checked Intel site and their Driver and Suppot Scan didn't report it needed and update.
Prior to the update the laptop was working fine.
Suggestions?
Can linksys release a product that a mini pc router with hard router feature?
On Amazon, there is a router named "soft router", which is actually a mini pc, but it is simulated as a router by software. like this:
https://www.amazon.com/QOTOM-Fanless-PFSENSE-Router-Firewall/dp/B072Q872V9
The reason I made this request is because the "hard router" performance is not strong enough, I need a device with 8G RAM and 142GB SSD and x86_64 architecture minimum requirements.
mini PC performance is enough, but PC does not have an antenna, I add a wireless network card myself will be very slow.
I bought it for encryption and decryption to bypass the Great Firewall of China.
expressvpn not stable enough, lot of person use special protocol like vless/trojan-go ,buy a vps to build a proxy all by self, but ps4 can not install a custom soft, so need a special router.
EA7300 DNS fails after sometime
I am having issues with EA7300 2.4Ghz wifi. While running speedtest, I am hitting DNS resolution error.
Is this a known issue? 5GHz wifi works without any issue. Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi works on another router I have without any issues. Here is a paste from system log. See at the bottom where speedtest runs for couple of iterations without any issues then throws a Name resolution error.

I cannot see other computers on the network. Max Stream AX6000 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi Router
I just installed a AX6000 on my system as my main router. Now WIndows 10 cannot see any of the other computers or My NAS on the network in explorer.
I can connect to them via the //192.168.1.x and see the shared drives and folders they just do not appear in explorer.
BUT>>>>> If I change the name of the router in the settings and reboot the router they appear for a short time and after reboot will go away.
Any ideas?
I am using AVG also. I tried uninstalling on each of my computers and it does not fix the problem.
MAC Address keeps changing on WRT 3200ACM
So I have a WRT 3200ACM that I have set up in bridge mode to use as an access point and the MAC address keeps changing at seemingly random intervals. Its not a single digit either, the entire address seems to change. Putting any of them into a MAC vendor lookup online turns up zero matches.
I'm not modifying any settings, its just sitting there providing Wi-FI and every now and then my network monitoring tool will notify me that a new device has joined my network and it will be the 3200ACM but with a different MAC address. Any help with what's going on here would be appreciated.
Here's a dump of the status: The really odd thing is that the MAC address that is reported by my primary router is listed as the "Local MAC Address" under the "Local Network" section
Also wierd that the DHCP server status is listed as enabled but supposed to be disabled in bridge mode. I can verify that all devices connected to via the 3200 get ip address from my main router and not the 3200

EA8300 Forgetting Device Names on Network Map
My EA8300 will regularly forget the names that I have changed in the Network Map. This is very annoying when you try to use parental controls or Media Prioritization.
Network Map also incorrectly shows the wireless or hardwired picture next to the device too.
Another issue: My kids have identical phone models. The Network Map lists the 2 phones as one device with 2 separate IP addresses.
Running the latest firmware (1.1.5.201210). It has been an issue with multiple versions of the firmware. I see that others have complained about Network Map forgetting names on the EA8300 as well as other Linksys routers.
The other cases seem to escalate to level 2 support. Any known fix?
MR9600 intermittent Internet issue
I'm having a very odd issue, lossing Internet connectivity in my MR9600 intermittently, WiFI and Eth networks work fine, this is not a LAN connectivity issue but just Internet connection issue where my MR9600 intermitently goes from solid blue light to solid red light. I have troubleshot whole day yesterday and can't get a reliable Internet connection yet.
More details:
- I have AT&T 1GB fiber and Iternet link there has been reliable, as part of troubleshoting I hooked up a laptop directly to it and when Interenet is down on my MR9600 (solide red light) I don't see any Internet issues on the laptop directly connected to Att router/modem, ststus light on modem always greed to (photo attached).
- When issue occurs I'm not able to browse or ping any internet host name, if I try to ping an internet IP address rather than host name I actualy get response.
- Validated that firmware is up to date
- Recycle, power down/on and MR9600 reset using reset button in the back was done while working with a lynksys agent.
- Ethernet cable for the link between MR9600 and At&t modem replaced too
- After going to solid red light it could take few seconds or few mins for it to come back to solid blue light
- When going solid red for just few seconds I can still browse so it might be just a hicup but seeing a red light on the router is not pleasant.
Thanks!
MR7350 wired bridge mode no 80mhz channel width on 5ghz band
Hi,
I bought an MR7350 (UK model) to use in wired bridge mode to extend my wifi 6 network with my main MR9600.
I have updated the firmware on the 7350 to the latest 11520270.
Under the wifi settings for the 5ghz band I can find no option against any channel to run the width at 80mhz which is a must for my VR headset!
The MR9600 has it, my old EA6900 even has an 80mhz channel width. Am I missing it or have Linksysy forgotten to enable it?
Mur
How to connect if I can't get the IP WAN from ISP?
Hello,
I am trying to configure the E4200 router to conect with mi ISP Lowi (Spain) and I don't have the connection details as IP WAN. The IPS Lowi doesn't give me support on that, they say they don't know it, DHCP option is not working and the tool Linksys connect is not workint either.
Whay could I do?
Thanks a lot!
Miguel
