Good morning!
I have a Motorola Surfboard SB6121 modem connectd to a Linksys EA3500 wireless router. My HSI is rated up to 50 Mbps, where I have seen speeds up to 55 Mbps when directly connected through the modem. Unfortunately, once I connect the router, and run the speed tests again, my download speeds drop to the 13-15 Mbps range, consistently.
I spoke with a Linksys tech rep for two hours yesterday and we tried the following:
1. Turning off media prioritization and WMM - this helped keep my Xbox from randomly disconnecting from XBox Live, but didn't help with the speed issue.
2. Manually changed the Downstream Bandwidth to 0.
3. Manually tried channels 1, 3, 6, 9, and 11.
4. Ran a ping test and set the MTU manually.
5. Changed my 5 GHz network to a different name from the 2.4 GHz network SSID.
Nothing has increased my speeds, and I'm stumped. Anyone in the greater Linksys Community know what to try next?
Thanks!
