WRT 1900AC USB hard drive

Hi,


Can anyone tell me how many hard drives I can connect at the same time to my router as it has 2 USB ports.

Also is there a way of speeding up the transfer rate from my router to my laptop while using the usb device?
It seems to buffer quite a bit while I'm watching a movie off my hard drive.
