I bought a WRT1900AC on the basis that the box specifically called out supporting Open Source firmware, as I became awaresoon after getting it home, at best this is a work in progress. None the less, I decided I would try the firmware found here:
As directed by a Admin on these forums. I appled the image I found here, according to the pretty basic instructions.

This brought my very brief experience with the WRT1900 to an end, as all I can get out of it right now is a flashing power light. I've spent lots of time working out how I can un-brick it, and I'm a technical sort of guy, but:
1) I can't ping it when I attach to it, so that rules out TFTP (Tried ARP too)
2) Factory reset doesn't do anything, no matter how long I hold it, or 30/30/30 or anything else.
3) I've tried turning it on and off multiple times with the factory reset turned on.
I think its dead. I can't understand how Linksys can:
1) Put open source on the box, while not support it.
2) Direct you to site where after following basic instructions your hardware is trashed.
3) They dont have a 100% bullet proof mechanism for resetiing it to the factory firmware.
I called support, but they couldn't help directly, and wanted a manager to call me. I missed that call, Sunday, and I've not yet heard back. Can any one provide any advice on what to do here?
