Hi,
When I logged into my E1000 V2.1 yesterday via browser interface, I did not see "Linksys" or any of the typical Linksys graphics that one sees on every page of the Linksys manuals. I saw Airlink101, and the choices on each page were similar to, but fewer & simpler than the standard Linksys.
Is there Airlink101 software (firmware?, driver?) running on my E1000? Was this a supported release from Linksys? I can't find anything relevant on the airlink website, here, or via google.
I have no memory of installing this, and am not sure if I have upgraded the firmware since purchase. I thought the last time I configured it there was the plain old Linksys user interface. Since it would not accept my password, I'm suspicious.
I would like to upgrade it, but the router says it will only accept a .img file, whereas I can only find .bin files on the linksys firmware download page. How do I get around that?
The router is now unplugged and a different router in its place.
I'm 95% sure I'm completely misunderstanding the situation here, and appreciate guidance & links.
Thanks
George
