WRT1900AC should have one of the fastest USB transfer rates. I however can only write to my USB 3.0 hdd at 10Mb/sec. This seems like a throttled rate on both USB2/USB3 interfaces. I have tried numerous hdd and flash drives and all writes top out at 10Mb/sec. Called Linksys and they could not help me. When I do writes over wired connection I get 60+ Mb/sec so I know its not my hdd.
The wirless read speed is 30Mb/sec which is the max of my A6200 USB2.0 wifi adapter. I expect wirte speeds to be in the 30Mb/sec rate.
I am running the latest stock firmware. Maybe Linksys implemented a sw throttle on the USB3.0 write in order to maintain the 2.4Ghz connection. I am suspecting this. I want to go back to earlier firmwares but can't find them online.
Can any of you guys/gals help? If I can't figure this out the router is going back and I am getting the R7000 which while not delivering 60Mb will do 30Mb.
I really like this router but the USB3.0 write throttle is killing it for me.
