I've been having some serious issues with the router not connecting to my new Ubee modem, and I've had the ISP help me a couple times, but I can see the internet through ethernet just fine, but cannot connect the EA6500 router to the modem.
It comes online briefly here and there, then drops off.
So today I reset the modem. And then decided to update the firmware. And followed these instructions line-by-line: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&docid=59c7d14e62d44bedac23a61cbe8961b6_How_to_automatically_update_the_firmware_of_the_Linksys_EA65.xml
From the Connectivity menu, I ticked the Automatic Update check box. Then clicked Check for Updates. After this line loaded in: "New firmware available! Click here to install 1.1.29.162351" I clicked to install. It rebooted. After a while, the connectivity screen reloaded, but would be typically blank. Or I'd receive a window alert telling me I wasn't connected to the router, even when I was connected to the router and could surf the web.
And every time I had to refresh the browser, and the firmware would roll back to 1.1.28.147876
Any ideas?
