I've had this router, the EA2700, for a while now and anytime I've had net problems I just cycle the power and it generally resolves the issue. Today whoever, I did a hard reset on the device as I'm trying to get Chromecast to work on my network. After the router went throught the hard reset protocol, I was able to jump right on the web, granted all of my network perameters had been reset. I wanted to use the EA Series Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Setup Software for PC to change the name of the network and password. But, when I run the Smart Wifi Setup Software and get to the "We are now setting up your router" screen, the progress bar gets to 5% and stays there. After a long while at sitting at 5%, the window will display "Connect to your Linksys Router" goes on to say "This computer does not appear to have wireless capability." Now keep in mind that I do indeed have my computer plugged into a blue port in my router and my cable modem is plugged into the yellow port. At this moment in time I can surf the web, I just can't get this Smart Wi-Fi setup to work properly.
I don't have much of a networking background so i have no idea what to do. I ultimately want chromecast to work on this network but I don't know how that can happen if I can't get the setup to run.
