E2700 wireless disabled… but still shows ?

As I was looking for a way to get a LAN-to-LAN having more control over internet schedules for specific PCs, I eneded up replacing my WRT160 (Linksys) that was acting as main router - with an EA3500 acting as a wireless access point.

(Thread :http://community.linksys.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/EA3500-Parental-Control-Unexpected-Error-2179-why/m-p/722013#M265076 )

Now everything seems to work, the E2700 in place, but yet I want the wireless disabled on it (so did I through the online page where they show ''disabled'' - I mean bith the 2.4Ghz and 5.x Ghz).  However:

- the iPhone App (Linksys) still shows these as ''active''

- my iPhone still see this as an available network (although it just keep trying to connect if I try to do so, but does not log on.

Worst, it seems to provoke disruptions from time to time with my cable modem (never had disruptions - internet disconnect - with cable in months, then started to have those 12 hours after I connected the new unit... Defect ?
