I just got this wifi router because the guy at Fry's says it would monitor my data usage.
I only get a limited amount of data per month with my internet provider and they charge me if I go over that. I have asked them to just cut me off so I don't have a higher internet bill, but they will not. So I needed a way to track my data usage in real time so we can shut off our internet before we incur the extra charge. But I can not figure out how to do this on this system.
Can someone point me to some directions to find this feature?
Also, we received as a gift a smart tv and use it to watch Netflix, and Amazon, unfornately, that increased our useage three-fold, where before the old TV didn't use so much data.
Is there a way I can directly see how much data each of these are using?
Is there a way I can restrict the amount of streaming so those applications don't automatically go to the best streaming? Because Amazon does not have an option to lower the streaming quality, and it eats my data.
Finally, Is there a way to see ALL the websites visited through the router?
and all the uploads?
I know this was long, but I have been searching for several days for these answers and was hoping not to write a post, but I really appreciate any info, links, suggestions.
