I have been trying to find out if/when and IPv6 firmware for the E3000 might be forthcoming. Under the home.cisco.com/en-us/ipv6 site under the FAQ it has:
Q: What if I have an older Linksys Router like a WRT54G; will I have support for IPv6?
We have no current plans to provide IPv6 to our older wireless-G or wireless-B routers. If customers have older wireless products they may want to consider upgrading to a new wireless-N router. This will provide the IPv6 support they will need for future-proofing their home network while also providing the networking bandwidth to connect multiple devices such as computers, game consoles, tablets, Internet-enabled TVs, smart phones etc to the Internet and to each other.
But even though the E3000 is a wireless-N router, and it seems people have been asking for IPv6 support for years, I have not found any Cisco released firmware that is listed to do this. The above underlined section would seemto indicate all wireless-N Cisco products should be IPv6 capable, but the E3000 does not seem to which is what has me confused.
Should I just give up on an otherwise perfectly capable AP and buy new from Cisco or someone else due to this one failing?
