WRT1900AC - devices shown on Network map not all visible in Windows 7 explorer

I just purchased the 1900AC router as a plugin replacement for my previous WRT54GL router using DD-WRT.

Each of the Linksys routers is configured to a fixed IP address 192.168.2.1 and each is configured to assign device IP's within that subnet.

Each router works ok (not at the same time of course) when attached as a secondary router behind my Telus ActionTec V1000H DSL Modem/router.  All my LAN devices with Gb ports are now much faster.  Internet speeds are blazing.

However, with the new 1900AC router, my Windows 7 PC's only see each other in the network pane of Windows explorer.  In the content pane, I see my two Western Digital MyBookLive devices and my HP Laserjet printer as well as the Media devices on my network.  But if I try to access a file (say using Notepad) and I select the Network node, only the other PC appears in the list.

The 1900AC's Network map shows all devices with no problems.

The former router WRT54GL also had no problems showing all network devices.

Can anyone suggest how I can make all devices visible to my Windows 7 Explorer ?
