I have a desktop computer with cable modem and run the cable connection to the desktop through a Linksys E1200. So I'm surfing and all of a sudden lose the internet connectiont, but the Linksys looks like it's running fine (flashing lights). Switching the cable connection back to the cable modem brings back internet; i.e., it's not the cable company connection. Power cycling and checking cable connections doesn't fix it. I don't have Cisco installed on my desktop because it's not used for wireless, only my laptop has it installed (been working that way for years). Any ideas what might be going on and how to fix it?
