I've just experienced a second internet disconnect that lasted for a few seconds. This happened once yesterday, and the again once so far today. I have the router configured normally, just using routing and wireless, and the router has been otherwise stable and is performing well. I observed these two disconnects on my laptop, neither one was for long enough that a reboot could have happened, and I wasn't doing anything stressful with the router, just regular internet browsing, and getting Chrome's "Cannot connect to web site" on the tab that I was using, with the usual "Reload" button. I looked down at my internet icon in the system tray both times, it showed no connection to wireless. When I clicked on it to see what connections were available, neither my 2.4GHz. or 5GHz. SSID's were listed. They returned after a few seconds, however.
Don't know what's going on here, never see that with my R7000 router with the same laptop, same wireless adapter. This is not a massive instability that I'm all upset about, just annoying. I figured once yesterday was an "anomaly". But then to have the same thing to happen today, it went to "pattern" in my head.
Am I the only one seeing this kind of thing? I've seen disconnects associated with router reboots reported, as I said, these two outages took less time that a router reboot would have. There's so little monitoring capability in the firmware, no uptime clock. no real logging of events, it's really hard to tell what might be going on.
