EA6500 Signal Dropping off and restarting on its own

Hi Community, I have a EA6500 AC1750 linksys wireless router.  I recently purchased a new Motorola Modem it is the motorola sbg6782-ac modem.  I have the modem in Bridge mode and the wireless networks on it disabled so that I can use the Linksys AC1750 wireless router as I need to the extended range of the router as my office is upstairs where my internet cable access point is.  I have 10 devices connected to my router, however, I have a 30mbps package from Time Warner.  I can say that I have had a noticeable increase in speed and performance since purchasing the Motorola modem, it's been installed for about a week and the signal has better consistency and quality.  However, I have noticed some funky acitivity with the Linksys router.  I had to previously restore to factory default settings about once a month as the communication between the Linksys and the old Arris Modem from TW that I had was just nonexistent, it seemed like when the lease time expired the communication between modem and router would reset and then I would need to reset to factory defaults in order to reset the communication so it worked properly.  After week 1 with the Motorola that does not seem to be the case as it seems much more consistent.  However, today I was working next to the router and I noticed the Linksys rebooted randomly, and the modem never flinched, since the reboot today I have noticed that the signal is fluctuating with ranges down to 32mbps and then up to 180mbps, however when I work next to my router the speed is a consistent 450mbps with 5 signal bars.  I know the range has something to do with it, but the random rebooting and signal speeds going up and down makes me think it is in some kind of power save mode or something, I can't find anything in the settings that suggests that but that is what it seems like to me.  Please let me know if there is anything in the settings of the router that needs to be adjusted.  (on a side note, I use a VPN connection to work from home on a day to day basis, in addition, I make a lot of VOIP calls and do a lot of webex conferencing using my internet connection.  Also I do use xbox one where I am using matchmaking and playing online)

Thanks in advance
